  4. CLASIFICACIÓN • Por su localización u origen

  5. EPIDEMIOLOGÍA • EUA 36 mllacúfeno constante • Población general > 50% acúfeno intermitente • INN • 1000 px • 29% conocía el síntoma • 36% bilateral

  6. EPIDEMIOLOGÍA • Tintineo (tinnere = tinnitus) “Sonido de un insecto, una olla a presión, sonidos musicales, etcétera.”

  7. “Tener el corazón en el oído”.

  8. CAUSAS.

  9. GOLFO DE LA VENA YUGULAR ALTO.

  10. ARTERIA CARÓTIDA ABERRANTE.

  11. FÍSTULA ARTERIOVENOSO DURAL.

  12. TUMORALES. PARAGANGLIOMAS CAROTÍDEOS O YUGULARES. TUMOR DEL GLOMO TIMPÁNICO

  13. TUMOR DEL GLOMO DE LA YUGULAR.

  14. Anemia. Hipertiroidismo.

  15. DISFUNCIÓN.

  16. Causas: • Acúfeno es un síntoma. • Manifestación de daño del oído interno en particular de la cóclea, en nervio auditivo, en el tallo encefálico o en la corteza cerebral.

  17. Causas: • Especificas: otoceroris, inflamación de odio medio, enfermedad de Meniere, síndrome de compresión neurovascular, infecciones como sífilis y algunos tumores.

  19. Causas: Fármacos: • Aminoglucósidos • Macrólidos • Diuréticos • Salicilatos • Antipalúdicos • Antineoplásicos • AINE • Anestésicos

  20. Diagnóstico • Poca importancia por parte del paciente y del médico • Consulta cuando éste resulta molesto o intolerable • O bien el médico de primer contacto lo considera intrascendente.
