WHY WORK WITH US: • True Continuous Monitoring • Proven to be Rugged at multiple High Temperature & Non-scrubbed Inlets (ESP, SCR, NSCR, FGD) as well as Outlet (stack) Parametric Testing. • Successful testing in extreme source conditions.
More than 75 Control Technology Evaluations performed. • Slipstream Testing. • Baseline Testing • Easy to swap in the field parts. • High Sensitivity: Very Accurate at low mercury levels. Verified by sorbent traps. • Detection: 0.1 to 100ug/m³ in real time, one sample point displayed every 30 seconds to 5 minutes.
With our operators, Sorbent traps are always run out in the field in conjunction with the CEMs. Analysis is done on-site. • Can also provide Mass Balance and Raw Materials analysis ON-SITE. • Same Technology as the Most Versatile Hg Process Monitor that exists in the industry.

Portable Mercury CEM • Suitability: Designed to perform Parametric Hg Testing, Hg Control Technology Evaluation, and Baseline Studies on site. Can be used for the Inlet (after boiler) as well as for the Outlet (stack) long and short term applications. • Portability: set-up and dismantling time ~2-3 hours. Low power and footprint requirements. • Wide range: 0.1-100 ug/m³ • Speciates: Hg0 and Hg2+ • Modular design for component “swap” in the field. • Reliability: Performance is proven through Sorbent Traps which are run to confirm the CEMs daily.
KEY FEATURES: • Spectrometer: The IRM 915 features a highly sensitive atomic absorption spectrometer with Zeeman background correction providing interference free measurements.
The Probe/Filter:Hasteloy heated probe (18 months in wet stacks) • Multiple Dilution ratios. • Sampling is based on high velocity extraction, filtering, and dilution. No mechanical pumps are used and are instead replaced by plant air. • Critical orifice provides precise sample dilution. • The probe and filter are self-cleaning based on periodical blowback eliminating the “reactive ash” Hg scrubbing effect.
Speciation:provided by bypassing converter and measuring Elemental Hg only. • Calibration: Built in Elemental Hg calibrator with low span (2-5 ug/m³). No other calibration source required. • Umbilical Lines: Heated line from 10ft to 30ft (others available).
Data Results: Recorded via a control system computer and saved in a csv formatted file. With internet access, on-line remote data transfer and analyzer control/calibration capabilities. • Utilities Requirements: Power: 3 110 or 220 volt lines set for 15 or 20 amp Breakers, 2000 watts Total. Compressed air (dry, -40°C), 1 SCFM at 80 PSIG or plant air at 2 SCFM at 85-90 PSIG.

ANALYZER TECHNOLOGYLumex-RA915+ with RP-M 324 is designed for field/ on-site or laboratory “Direct” testing ofcarbon sorbent traps for Monitoring of Hg emissions from coal-fired power plants.Analyzer accuracy is US EPA validated and based on thermal decomposition combined with Zeeman Atomic Absorption Spectrometry. No sample preparation is required for analysis. Analysis time is less than 2 minutes per sample. No chemicals or gases required, no chemical waste is generated. It is the only high sensitivity and selectivity instrument that does not require gold amalgam and catalyst for analysis. Analyzer can be used for “Direct” testing of ash, coal and “Ontario Hydro”method generated liquid samples. Multi-point calibration protocol conforms to EPA Performance Based Criteria Method. No “Clean Room” is required. There are no interferences.Accurate results for “WET” and “DRY” stacks validated in many studies.Easy to use and maintain, field portable and ruggedTECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS1.Detection limit: 0.3ng-100,000ng, mercury, or 10ug/kg-200mg/kg Hg concentration in sorbent, fly ash, coal, liquid “Ontario Hydro” impinger samples.2.Direct analysis (results in two minutes) for “small” and “large” sorbent traps.3.Calibration: NIST Standard on sorbent. 4.Set-up or take down time: less than one hour.5.Dimensions and weight: Two Rolling Pelican Cases, Total 110 lb.

SORBENT TRAP Hg MONITORING TECHNOLOGY Ohio Lumex Sorbent Traps conform to PS-12B or Appendix K sampling and analysis specifications. A specific concentration of Iodine deposited on acid washed activated carbon ensure extreme mercury capturing capacities without “Break through” for extended test periods in “wet” or “dry” stack emissions from coal-fired power plants. PLEASE NOTE: High Iodine is a major interference in alternative method 1631 analysis and requires our competition to limit iodine concentration on carbon resulting in higher potential for breakthrough and low “spike” recoveries. Specifications:1. Low Mercury “background” level less then 0.3 ng per section.2. High Sorption capacity up to 2,500,000ng.3. Long term storage stability in provided container.4. Unique numbering with high temperature ink and “chain of custody.”5. Easy On/Off “leak check” cap plugs. 6. Third section is pre-spiked with elemental Hg at customized level.
