PSEO AT FCA • All colleges in Ohio must accept the credits – each college determines how they accept that credit. May meet requirements or just be an elective course. • Credits will transfer in only to the college --- most colleges will NOT transfer the grade into the GPA. • Recommend using these credits as a “Bank” for semesters that you may need or want to carry a lower number of classes.
PSEO AT FCA • If attending an out of state college it would be wise to check with them about how and what they will transfer in. • Keep all syllabi and course description information as that may be requested by the college to determine transfer credit. • Check out Transfer.org – great even for taking courses during college in the summer to help cut the costs.
PSEO AT FCA • COLLEGE CREDIT IS BASED ON SEMESTERS – WHICH IS TRANSLATED TO CARNEGIE UNITS WHEN TRANSFERRED TO FCA: 4 SEMESTER HOURS = .80 CREDIT 3 SEMESTER HOURS = .60 CREDIT 2 SEMESTER HOURS = .40 CREDIT 1 SEMETER HOUR = .20 CREDIT
