In the beginning… • CHAOS gave form to Gaea and Uranus • Gaea and Uranus give birth to 18 children: three Cyclops, three Hecatonchires, and 12 Titans
The story of Gaea and Uranus • Uranus hated all of his children, but particularly the Hecatonchires. These he sent to Tartarus, or The Underworld. Upset by this, Gaea asked her other children, the Titans, to rescue them, but only Cronus agreed. He fought and overthrew his father. When Uranus dies, from his blood came the Giants and Nymphs.
The story of cronus and rhea • At this point, Cronus became ruler of the earth. He married Rhea, and they had six children. The three daughters were Hestia, Hera, and Demeter. The three sons were Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Zeus waged war on Cronus. The monsters assisted Zeus, while Cronus was aided by some of the Titans, his brothers and sisters. Eventually, Cronus was defeated and killed. Those who helped him were locked away in The Underworld.
How zeus became god of all • Zeus then divided the world with his brothers and sisters. Hades was put in charge of The Underworld. Cerebrus, the three-headed dog, is his “pet.” Poseidon ruled the oceans and earthquakes. Scylla and are his pets
