The output will be used for the further planning steps (SPRING/UNCHS 2001:30).
Interest Analysis • Provides an overview of all • persons, • groups and • organisations connected with a project in any way. • Questions • Who is concerned and how? • Who is decisive? • Who has hostile attitudes?
Objectives • Make the interests of the different urban actors transparent and manageable. • Provide a forum where conflicts can be dealt in a constructive and professional manner. • Familiarise the participants with the specific working techniques and with the workshop situation. How to do it • Collect: write down the manner of all persons and groups connected with or influenced by the project. • Classify: categorise them (target group, implementingagencies, ...). • Describe: characterise them (structure, status). • Analyse: analyse the interests, motives, potentials, problems of each group. • Evaluate: identify consequences for the project work.
