  3. Ukrainian Language Curricula and Support Documents Curricula and support documents are available for two types of in-school programs: • Ukrainian Language (Core) Program • Ukrainian-English Bilingual Program

New Online Course Available e-mova: Core Ukrainian 10 Online This course was piloted successfully at the Mohyla Ukrainian Summer Immersion Program (July 2006) The course is being piloted by students, teachers and adult learners during the 2006-2007 school year. This Saskatchewan Learning course is available through the Saskatoon Catholic Cyber School.

  6. WESTERNCANADIAN PROTOCOL The International Languages Working Group (a sub-group of the WNCP) completed the development of Ukrainian Blackline Masters for use with Ukrainian Language Arts K-12. Representatives from Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba collaborated on this project. It is available online at: http://www.oomroom.ca/resources/blackline_masters/ULA Templates and BLMs v1.0.pdf

  7. Saskatchewan Learning continues to have ties with Ukraine through collaborative education projects and professional development initiatives with the Ternopil’ National Pedagogical University.

  8. This collaboration was made possible by St. Thomas More College at the University of Saskatchewan, as part of a larger agreement to provide ‘study abroad’ experiences for university students.

  9. Summer Language Immersion Program • The program, located at Mohyla Institute in Saskatoon, provides students with the opportunity to gain high school credits in Ukrainian 10, 20 and 30 while taking part in a five-week immersion experience.

  10. Heritage Languages Program Each year, many Saskatchewan students participate in out-of-school Ukrainian language instruction through the Heritage Languages Program. Grants are available through Saskatchewan Learning.
