  1. Stereotyping, Bullying, and Self harming Brought to you by the CTWSBS Team

  2. Stereotyping Against genders

  3. Men and women I think we all realize there is a difference that separate women from men but why does that make one weaker or one stronger. But, that’s not a bad thing. This is portrayed everywhere shaping peoples definitions of genders. In Ads

  4. In video games

  5. In our minds

  6. This just goes to show all of us that stereotyping is etched in our mind, not born with a hatred for a religious or group.

  7. Against Women Whether it may be more men or more women that are discriminated against even in modern times, women are still considered to be the weaker sex in most places. But why?

  8. Against Groups by Media

  9. Bullying A National Issue

  10. Just the Facts • Bullying became a much more serious issue after Roberto Clemente, a Rutgers college student, committed suicide because of harassment by his roommate. • Bul·ly·ing intimidation of weaker person: the process of intimidating or mistreating somebody weaker or in a more vulnerable situation Synonyms: intimidation, mistreatment, oppression, harassment, victimization, maltreatment, hounding • Roughly 2.7 million students were bullied in 2010

  11. The Types Verbal, Social, and Physical

  14. Physical Bullying -involves hurting a person’s body or possessions. Physical bullying includes: • Hitting • Kicking • Pinching • Spitting • Tripping • Pushing • Taking or breaking someone’s things • Making mean or rude hand gestures

  15. The effects Physically, emotionally, and psychologically

  16. The Tolls • Drop in grades • Increase in anxiety • Loss of social life • Depression • Physical illness

  17. Self Harming Synonymous with Suicide

  18. Cutting • Self-harm can be a way of coping with problems. It may help you express feelings you can’t put into words, distract you from your life, or release emotional pain. Afterwards, you probably feel better—at least for a little while. But then the painful feelings return, and you feel the urge to hurt yourself again. If you want to stop but don’t know how, remember this: you deserve to feel better, and you can get there without hurting yourself.

  19. Whether you do or don’t, people around you may cut themselves. It’s a scary thought that one could mutilate themselves like that but they also see it as releasing pain. As an outsider looking in you want to say that your better than this and there is help but someone in that condition, no… state, its hard to listen to anybody’s opinion because we just don’t care.

  20. Thank You And as always if you have a story to share or need someone to listen contact us at changetheworldstepbystep@gmail.com.
