  5. Noun Gender • All singular nouns in German have gender: • Masculine • Feminine • Neuter • Plural Nouns do not have gender, they are just plural.

  6. Nominative Case • “Dictionary Form” for all nouns • Used to indicate the subject • Das Auto fährt schnell. • Also used after the verb sein • Das Kind ist ein Junge.

  7. Accusative Case • Used for Direct Objects • Das Kind sieht einen Junge. • Used after an Accusative Preposition. • Das Auto fährt durch die Stadt.
