Why do we need a plan? - General Plan • To strengthen existing neighborhoods • To promote transit-supporting, mixed-use, pedestrian oriented neighborhoods • To encourage appropriate infill • To preserve, restore and enhance sensitive environmental features and provide open space • To maintain/renovate existing public infrastructure
