3. WAPS Program Each year, the Extension Course Program (A4L) ships an initial issue of WAPS CDCs to airmen who are eligible for promotion to the next higher grade for the first time
New or supplemented CDCs are shipped to those whose previously issued CDCs have changed Additional notes for the presenter:
Each eligible member is only authorized one initial issue per rank/grade.
Individuals must maintain their issued CDC materials until superseded or no longer needed.
The materials are no longer needed when the individual is promoted or the CDCs are superseded.

4. WAPS materials for E-4 thru E-6s are scheduled to be shipped in September of each year

5. Individual Responsibilities Know when youre eligible for promotion
Review the WAPS Catalog to identify required study references

6. Maintain issued material until it is superseded or you no longer need it
Promptly contact the WAPS monitor when CDCs are not received or are incorrect
Be prepared to test on the first day of the cycle Individual Responsibilities Additional notes for the Presenter:
Individuals must fully justify their request to the unit commander for a re-issue of material if they did not follow-up on non-receipt of their materials or if they did not maintain the previously issued material. This justification must be included in a memorandum to AFIADL or the request will be denied.
Individuals must promptly contact the WAPS monitor about non-receipt of materials and this means prior to the start of the testing cycle.

7. Ensure you receive at least 60 days study time with the required references
IAW AFI 36-2605, members may request a delay in testing when study reference materials are not received provided they have initiated follow-up action in a timely manner (prior to the start of testing cycle)

9. Purchasing WAPS CDCS When WAPS CDCs are unusable or unavailable due to the members negligence, the member may purchase a set of replacement materials for $20

Members that lose, fail to properly maintain, or just dont take the responsibility to promptly follow-up on materials not received, prior to testing cycle start, are considered negligent. Waiting until the cycle has passed to identify non-receipt is a failure of personal responsibility on the members part.Additional notes for the presenter:

10. Members in PCS Status If a members PCS departure date is prior to 1 Nov, WAPS materials are shipped to the gaining MPF

11. BTZ Promotees Individuals promoted 1 Sep - 31 Jan to SrA BTZ will not be identified by MILPDS system as requiring WAPS material
These individuals must contact their Unit WAPS Monitor upon promotion to request their WAPS material
