Responsibility CERN HAZARDs COMPAGNY HAZARDs WORK HAZARDs • The work supervisor is responsible of: • Informing the company of the hazard at CERN and how to manage it (procedure, training, technical safeguard to put in place…) • Understanding the company modus operatis. • Making sure the modus operatisinclude the appropriate mitigation measures regarding CERN hazards. • Controlling that the mitigation measure are in place. • Asking for support if more expertise is needed.

Safety obligation for Work Supervisors Before starting: • PREVENTION PLAN – Write it with your contractor • IMPACT – What, Where, When, Who, How, Safety • VIC – Get everyone on board for the risk assessment, and make it approve • Ask for advice from experts. Any time. Any where. • Make sure all mitigation measures, rescue means and PPEs are in place During: • Follow-up your works regularly on site • Check that all safety measures and PPEs are still in place • STOP the work if something looks wrong After the works: • Carefully inspect the result • Clean the workplace
