AGENDA REGISTRATION/NETWORKING 8:30 a.m. WELCOME/INTRODUCTIONS 9:00 – 9:10 a.m. Ms. Trudy Walton, Executive Vice President, LASC APPROVAL OF MINUTES 9:10 – 9:15 a.m. REPORTS (INFORMATION ITEMS) 9:15 – 10:00 a.m. • State of the Division (5 minutes) • Dr. Elmer Bugg, Dean • From the CTE Academic Programs (5 minutes) This presentation highlights major accomplishments within a high-growth, high-wage discipline at the College. Discussion will include student success matters and increased employment opportunities for program graduates. • Computer Science and Information Technology (Hicks/El Khoury) From the Learning Support Programs (5 minutes) This presentation highlights major accomplishments within the Division. Discussion will include online tutoring, workshops and assessment tools to support student success and completion. • Student Success Centers (McBride) • From the Extension and Specially-Funded Programs (3 min. ea.) These presentations highlight the College’s workforce development initiatives, new programs and services and increased collaboration/partnership efforts. Discussion will include building employer networks, direct placement, new programs and services. • CBJT (Mayorga) • H1B (De La Cerda) • Community Services and Extension Programs (Collins) • Future Leaders (Manyweather) • Career Center and Upcoming Events (Lockridge) SPECIAL PRESENTATION (ACTION ITEM) 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Following this presentations the body will take action to recommend the adoption and launching of the new CTE website. Discussion will include recap of “environmental scan” of the College’s CTE marketing efforts, design features, and next steps. • AMF Media Group (Foster/Jimenez) CLOSE 11:00 a.m.
