Central Population Register (CPR)the main source for population and social statistics in Norway • CPR includes all residents • All residents are registered in the CPR with a unique PIN • All immigrants are given a PIN when they register with the immigration authorities • All vital events are registered in the CPR • Births, deaths, marriages • National and international migration • And demographic characteristics • Sex ,age, marital status, number of children, place of birth • Citizenship, national background, and year of first immigration • All other national administrative registers based on individuals use this PIN.
