  2. Agenda • Introductions • Brief review of RTF response to RTF-specific recommendations • Review 2012 RTF budget available for small/rural work plan • Prioritize recommendations and determine next steps

Background • October 2010 – January 2012: Small/Rural Utility Technical Support Needs Study – Conducted by Ecotope w/ RTF S/R Subcommittee • Final report included RTF-specific recommendations (from Ecotope and from utilities) • January 17, 2012: RTF reviewed RTF-specific recommendations and RTF-staff response • Designated the S/R subcommittee to prioritize recommendations and develop work plan

  4. RTF 2012 Work Plan • Develop New Measures for Small & Rural - $20K • Other options – • Conversion to Small Saver UES - $28K • Placeholder in Regional Coordination - $10,000 • At this subcommittee meeting, we should focus on the $20K already obligated to S/R.

Prioritize $20K S/R Work Plan New Measures • Commercial UES measures specific to schools for lighting, ventilation, and weatherization (4.1.6)~$5K - $30K assessment + $10K- $50K measure development • Wind Generating Facilities – wind turbine efficiency (4.1.9)~$15K-$30K assessment + $10 - $30K measure development • Ground Source Heat Pump - Open Loop (4.1.9)~$20K - ?K

  6. Prioritize $20K S/R Work Plan Existing Measures • Perform comprehensive review of irrigation measures and look for ways to simplify (4.1.7)~ $30K Small Saver (?) • Develop manufactured home decommissioning measure (4.1.4)~ $25K

  7. Prioritize $20K S/R Work Plan Non-Measures • Develop measure design checklist to ensure S/R consideration when assessing and approving UES measure designs/specs (4.3.1) ~ $10K contract work w/ subcommittee help • Work with BPA and others to develop a targeted outreach and involvement strategy for committee members from small and rural utilities (4.3.1)~ $0K subcommittee task • Work with BPA and NEEA to facilitate an integrated approach to bring measures to the RTF (4.3.4)~ $0K subcommittee task
