  9. 2003- Myspace is launched

  10. 2003- Instant messaging (IM) is generating five billion messages a day

  11. 2004- Facebook is launched

  12. 2005- Youtube launches

  13. 2006- Twitter launches

  14. 2009-The Internet now has 1.5 billion users and there are over 100 billion live web pages.

  16. 1947- AT&T commercialized Mobile Telephone Service

  17. Prior to 1973, mobile cell-phones were used for cars

  18. 1973- First hand-held mobile phone

  19. 1991

  20. 1992 -the first SMS messaging was used

  21. 1997-2003 in Japan

  22. 2000- gradual increase of text messaging

  23. 2002- First Blackberry device

  24. 2004- 500 billion SMS messages in 2004.

  25. 2007- First iPhone

  26. 2007- Android operating system launched

  27. 2011- iMessage released
