The People • The Bahamas population is about 330,000.people. • The people in the Bahamas speak English. • They live to be about 60 or 70 years old.
Geography • Capital City: Nassau. • Lakes: Twin lakes, and Lake Forsyth. • The Bahamas has a tropical climate.
Culture • Their religion is Christianity. • On holidays they usually make speeches, have parades, and have concerts. • They dress casual or tropical which ever mood they are in. • They mostly eat seafood and soul food.
Economy • They use the same money we do except they have $3.00 bills and 15 cent coins. • Their major imports and exports are lobster and other fish the Bahamas has to offer.
Government • The type of government is Constitutional parliamentary democracy and Commonwealth. • The current leader is Arthur Alexander Foulkes.
Landmarks • Their landmarks are their beaches. • It is located in the Caribbean. • It is important because that’s what brings tourists.
Interest • I find that Bahamas is a beautiful paradise country interesting. • I love it that the Bahamas is a tropical islands surrounded by coral reefs, clear warm water, and miles upon miles of sandy beaches.
