  2. On R57, create a T-chart under your map. Gulf Stream Jet Stream

  3. Gulf Stream • A warm ocean current that flows by Florida • Partially responsible for Florida’s warm weather • Flows north to Europe causing countries at higher latitudes to be warmer than they should be.

  4. Gulf Stream

  5. Draw an arrow indicating the location and direction of the Gulf Stream.

  6. Jet Stream • Stream of fast moving wind in each of the hemispheres. • Pushes weather across the U.S. from west to east. • Brings cold air to warmer places. • Brings warm air to cooler places.

  7. Jet Stream

  8. Draw two arrows indicating the location and direction of the Jet Stream. One for the winter and the other for the summer.
