  1. Boeing Community Event to support the Austin Street Center. Austin Street Center exists to provide emergency shelter and related services to the homeless.The Center offers an evening meal for 400 men, women and children each night. Here are the three opportunities for an individual to participate in feeding the homeless. • 1) Food Drive - August 6- 10th DROP SITES: Break rooms at the HQ bldg. and Breckinridge bldg. Non-Perishables ● Peanut Butter ● Jelly ● Tuna ● 2 liters of Soda ● Mayo ● Snack Items* * Snack items include things like individual bags of peanuts or cookies, peanut butter filled cracker packs, boxes of Little Debbie type treats, etc. Perishables (August 10th only) • ● Bread ● Fruit ● Cheese • ● Meat (Roast Beef, Bologna, Turkey, Ham) • 2) Sandwich Creation – August 11th • Using the food collected from the Boeing Food Drive, volunteers will meet to assemble the sandwiches. • ● Saturday, August 11th @ 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. • ● 3811 Oak Lawn Avenue, Dallas, TX 75219 • Sandwich Night – August 11th • Volunteers will provide food to the homeless. • ● Saturday, August 11th @ 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. • ● 2929 Hickory Street, Dallas, TX 75226 • To volunteer (Employees can also sign-up guests/family) please go to this link and click on “Interested in Volunteering”, “Sign Up to Volunteer” • ** the event on the link states August 12th in error, the event is Saturday, August 11th ** • http://community.web.boeing.com/volunteer.cfm?gcc=volunteer&ri=eci • For more information contact your local site focal: • Mary Cobine at Mary.D.Cobine@Boeing.com or 972-705-8101 • Doris Dickerson at Doris.R.Dickerson@Boeing.com or 972-705-8171
