Disability Data Overview • People with disabilities are leaders in the Federal Government. GS 14 & 15: • In Sept. of 2011, 7.65% of all GS 14’s and 15’s were people with disabilities. 6 months later, 8.09% of all GS 14’s and 15’s were people with disabilities. • In FY 11, 12.26% of all GS 14 and 15 new hires were people with disabilities. In the first two quarters of FY12, 15.83% of all GS 14 and 15 new hires were people with disabilities. Senior Executive Service (SES): • In Sept. of 2011, 4.3% of all the SES were people with disabilities. 6 months later, 4.55% of all SES were people with disabilities. • In FY 11, 4.06% of all SES new hires were people with disabilities. In the first two quarters of FY12, 8.29% of all SES new hires were people with disabilities.
Disability New Hires (1980-2011)In the past 32 years, people with disabilities have not been hired at such a high percentage in the Federal Government.
Permanent Federal WorkforceMore people with disabilities work for the Federal Government now than in the past 32 years.

Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) • As a student or recent graduate, you may also be able to take part in the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP). • Annually, trained recruiters from federal agencies conduct personal interviews with interested candidates on college campuses. • Information from interviews is compiled in a searchable database that is available to hiring officials in federal agencies. • To learn more, visit www.wrp.gov.
