  3. Spelling • Reflects 37 common spelling patterns Based on word families and sight words • New spelling list sent home on Mondays, test on Fridays • NEW for this year; Challenge Tests

  10. Homework • Reading Logs -20 min/night independent reading -Mon-Thurs complete log. They will be collected on Fridays. Keep in folder! • “Extra Practice” 2-3 times/week (Mondays and Wednesdays)

Birthdays/Class Parties Birthdays • Please NO FOOD  Allergy and Health Concerns • 21 Students CURRENTLY • Bring into office by 9:00am • Suggestions: pencils, stickers, erasers, donate a book to our class library, donate a book to school library Class Parties • Halloween, Winter Holiday, Valentine’s Day, End of the Year • Room parents will collect $10 from each student

  12. Dismissal/Changes to Child’s Schedule • If there is any change in your child’s dismissal, please SEND A NOTE. If you are unable to send a note, notify the office by 12:00. • If your child has a play date, BOTH sets of parents need to write a note. • Children may not ride a non-assigned bus route. • Please schedule all family vacations for school breaks only—your child truly misses out when they are gone from school.

  13. Final Notes… • Sign up for a conference time. Same time slot in both the fall (Wed, 11/10) and winter (Thurs, 2/16). • Scholastic News and Field Trip Money/Permission Slip • Picture Day! Wednesday (3 school days from now!) • Books orders • Gym Shoes, extra clothes & supplies please! • Donations
