UNICEF: BELS Programme • Teacher Education and Training (INSET) • Support to INSET Strategy development linked to TDMS • Implementation guideline developed • INSET modules developed (Pedagogy, Mathematics and English) • Enhanced Planning and Quality assurance • Support to Whole School Development Planning (WSDP) • Education in Emergencies- Capacity building at national & sub-national levels • Finalization of inspection handbook and close to school supervision guidelines; development of Inspectors’ training manual • Gender & Equity • Support to TGEI and TUSEME clubs • Support to the Integrated Post Primary Education (IPPE) programme • IECD • Support the finalization of IECD policy

UNDAP – UNICEF (Educ): Priorities - 2011 • Roll out of school based INSET distance learning model • Strengthened monitoring at sub-district level- thru support to WECs • Development of EMIS for inspectorate • Support to IPPE programme • Development of phased IECD policy implementation plan • Develop INSET training modules for pre-primary and preschool teachers
