  6. Glittering Generalities • A vague (unclear) word or image that is meant to promote positive feelings by using words or phrases that appeal to emotion EXCELLENT!!! AMAZING!!! WOW!!!

  7. Name Calling • Negative words that don’t have proof to back them up and that are used to label someone or something as bad

  8. Bandwagon • Giving someone the false idea that “everyone is doing it” or that something is the “cool” thing to do

  9. Testimonial • An important person or celebrity endorses (backs up) a product
