We’ve learned how to make a future tense using aller + infinitive. This is called le futurproche(the immediate future). It is used to express things that are going to happen in the near future. Qu’est-cequetuvas faire ce week-end? What are you going to do this weekend. -Je vais escalader unemontagne. -I’m going to climb a mountain.
Le futur simple (the simple future) is used to express actions that will happen in the future. Oùest-cequetuhabiteras? Where will you live? - J’habiteraià Paris. - I’ll live in Paris. Parlerez-vousfrançais au Québec? Will you speak French in Quebec? - Bien sûrque nous y parleronsfrançais! - Of course we’ll speak French there!

Irregular verbs in the simple future use the same stems as the conditional.
