  8. Raise a quiet hand and wait • At times, it is okay to speak out and discuss your thoughts • Only positive and encouraging comments • Negative comments and attitudes will not be tolerated Welcome ... Mrs. D's Class

  9. Respect each other: • No Put Downs and No Bullying. • Zero tolerance for those who verbally, physically, or emotionally abuse others • Use language of respect • Respect space and property • If it isn’t yours, don’t touch it! Welcome ... Mrs. D's Class

  10. Group projects = cooperation • Do NOT plagiarize. • Plagiarize = cheating. • Use or copy something from the internet, a book, an encyclopedia, an almanac, etc. • must cite the source. • Plagiarize = “0” credit Welcome ... Mrs. D's Class

  12. Personal items such as playground/PE equipment, make-up, electronics and phones, will be left at home/out of sight. • Inappropriate items seen by the teacher will be confiscated to the OFFICE. Welcome ... Mrs. D's Class

First and most importantly… Be ORGANIZED! • Plan out your work and assignments • Assignments: to be completed thoroughly and handed in on time • You are responsible to turn in the work to the appropriate place • Given an appropriate amount of time to complete assignments. Extra Credit or Accel Projects may be done at any time, but work needs to be aligned to 6thgrade academic standards. • All final work must be turned in for credit prior to locking of grades of that trimester. • Use a Bibliography at the end of Projects. All assignments … secure in your binder or appropriate folder. • No loose papers in your binder or desk • Graded and returned assignments must be returned into the file box • Don’t throw away your papers until the end of the semester and your parents have seen them.
