NEED COLLABORATIVE • The National Environmental Education Development (NEED) Collaborative is a publicly-funded environmental science school, administered by the Dennis-Yarmouth, Harwich, and Falmouth school systems in partnership with the Cape Cod National Seashore. Created over thirty years ago to educate Cape Cod youth about their own unique environment, the Collaborative is a week-long residential school serving every fifth-grade class from the administering school districts throughout the school year. Located in the former Pamet Coast Guard Station on Ballston Beach in Truro, the director and a staff of naturalists teach a curriculum that emphasizes natural history, coastal ecology, and experiential education. • Our week: March 8th – 12th, 2010
