The new deal really wanted to help the unemployed people. • In just 4 years it had 6 million more jobs for people. • Laissez-Faire was not a thing anymore.
FARM TENANCY ACT (1937) • Aid to poor farmers • Homestead projects • Loaned money to farmers • Camps • Health care programs
Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) • Provided jobs for single men • Ages 18-25 • 3 million men had jobs from this • They gave the men shelter, clothing and food • They were paid $30 a month, but had to send $25 to family.
Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA) • Provided unskilled jobs for adults • Construction • Writer • Musicians • Canned food • Garments • Mattresses • Bedding
CWA - CIVIL WORKS ADMINISTRATION • MOSTLY UNSKILLED MEN • Roads • Bridges • Schools • Employed musicians • Artist • Writers • Actors/Drama

NYA- National Youth Administration • Jobs for the younger unemployed • Helped them pay for studies • $6-$40 • 482,000
