Job Centre Plus • JOBCENTRE PLUS:Provides a wide range of services to help people find employment and claim correct benefits.
The New Deal • Introduced to give unemployed people help in getting back into employment or through training to provide them with necessary skills.

Retraining and Education • Skillseekers for 16-18 year olds give a personal training plan • Money is paid to companies to train young people • Private training Organisations (Maytag) give specialist training, Work Experience etc
Scottish Enterprise • Aim of this organisation is to help people and businesses to be successful. • This is done by creating jobs and improving skills and training
Main roles: • Help s new businesses get started • Supports existing businesses • Train people for jobs of the future • Promote Scotland as a good place to live, work and do business
Creating Jobs • LOCATE IN SCOTLAND Tries to attract foreign companies • SCOTTISH ENTERPRISE joins with other organisations like local companies to bring in jobs • PRINCE’S TRUST awards grants to young people who wish to start their own business
