Who we are • ”Lorin Sălăgean” Technical College is one of the newest schools in Mehedinti County. • The school was founded in 1970 out of necessity in a county where building were developing. • In a short time it became one of the schools which offer modern education based both on our students’ abilities and interests and the community’s expectations. ”Lorin Sălăgean” Technical College

Who we are • We are the first school which was awarded the title European School by the Ministry of Education in Romania – in 2007 and 2010. • We are the only school in Mehedinti County where the program Phare 2006 – e-learning is implemented • We are one of the schools were the program Phare TVET was implemented ”Lorin Sălăgean” Technical College

Our mission • ”Lorin Sălăgean” Technical College promotes modern education, based on quality and on promoting the values of the European democracy. • The entire educational system is based on developing and improving the fundamental skills, and the positive attitude towards society. • We have become a responsible social partner for the local community and a school where young people are continually and directly involved in creating their own way. ”Lorin Sălăgean” Technical College

Present MATERIAL RESOUCES • 19 classrooms • 16 laboratories and cabinets (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, 3 IT labs, Mechanics, Constructions, Electro-technic, Electro-mechanics, Textile, Foreign languages, History – Geography, Romanian, Math.) • 7 school workshops (mechanics, carpentry, constructions, vehicle painting, tailoring, installations, electro-technics) • School arena and sports fields • School library • Canteen and hostel ”Lorin Sălăgean” Technical College

Extra - school activities • In school we have the school radio Monada • We edit many magazines, both for students and teachers • ”Christmas Ball” is a tradition of our school • Every year we welcome the newcomers and the graduates • We celebrate different national or international events: • European Day of Foreign Languages, Haloween, 1st December – Romania’s National Day, Winter Holidays, Mihai Eminescu’s Day – the Romanian National Poet, Unity Day, Valentine’s Day, 1st and 8thMarch, Francophony’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter Holidays, School Days, 1st June – Children’s Day ”Lorin Sălăgean” Technical College
