Osprey Woods Public School implements the balanced day schedule, with three extended blocks of uninterrupted learning time, two 40-minute breaks, and 20 minutes for play and eating. This model originated in Peel and has been adopted by many boards, including 96 schools in Peel. The schedule aims to increase student achievement, concentration, hallway behavior, and reduce interruptions. Additionally, it improves student safety, allows for manageable recess time, and promotes healthier eating habits. The school lunch program, extra-curricular activities, and daily physical activity can all be easily integrated into the schedule. Parents are encouraged to provide feedback through a survey.
