  1. The TEI of Athens was founded in 1950 and is situated in the western • suburbs of Athens. • It has 30.000 students

  6. North: Agora. • South: bordered with the rock of Aeopagitus. • West: hill Kolonos Agoraios with the temple of Hephaestus. • East: Roman Agora and famous Tower of Winds

  7. Parthenonas Built on the Acropolis of Athens for nearly 2,500 years to give thanks to the Greek Goddess Athena for the salvation of Athens and Greece in the Persian Wars.

  8. The Odeion of Herodes Atticus • 3rd Odeion built in Athens after the Odeion of Pericles and that of Agrippa. • Erected by Herodes in memory of his wife Regilla in A.D.160. • It was destroyed during the invasion of the Herulae in A.D.267.

Plaka Plaka is the most famous old historical neighbourhood of Athens with labyrinthine small narrow streets, lots of restaurants (Greek Taverna, bars, clubs and normal restaurants offering Greek food and beverages ( Greek coffe, ouso) and souvenir shops. A great area to wander, shop and dine at any time of the day.

  21. The NationalGarden On a hot day, there is no better way to chill out than to walk along the alleys of the National Garden in the heart of Athens.

  22. This beautiful park used to be the garden of the Royal Palace created by Queen Amelia and her German gardener Schmidt in 1839.It is now owned by the City of Athens. The garden has become public and it is open all day long.It is one of the places in Athens where one can find an agreeable retreat with shade, flowers and the song of the nightingales. The garden also encloses some ancient ruins, tambours and Corinthian capitals of columns, mosaics. etc.

  23. The Likabitos Hill - go to the top and you will be able to see whole of Athens and Attica. This is the tallest hill in central Athens at 910 feet high (about 300m)
