CPT - Common Proficiency Test What is CPT and when does it happen Common Proficiency Test, which is a simplified entry to the Chartered Accountancy course. CPT is designed in the pattern of entry level test of engineering, medical and other professional courses. CA CPT Exam Date: Sunday, 16th June, 2013. • What is the pattern of the CPT exam? • CPT is conducted twice in a year in the month of June and December. The examination is divided in two sessions as follows; • Session 1 (Two hours – 100 marks) • Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting (60 Mark) • Section B: Mercantile Laws (40 Marks) • Session 2 (Two hours – 100 marks) • Section C: General Economics (50 Marks) • Section D: Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks)
