Sparks Lab Supplies On 27th July 2010 Sparks were admitted to the Framework Agreement for Laboratory Consumables, for the following Lots:- • Lot 1 - Liquid Handling • Lot 2 - General Lab Consumables • Lot 3 - Test Tubes • Lot 5 - Filtration • Lot 6 - Glassware • Lot 7 - Microbiology • Lot 8 - Safety • Lot 9 - Syringes & accessories • Lot 12 - Containers
eCommerce Total number of Registered 3rd Level Shoppers - 109 • Trinity College 48 • UCD 24 • UCC 8 • DIT 14 • DCU 4 • RCSI 7 • University of Limerick 4 Google Analysis of unique visits to Sparks Lab Store . Com • Week 11 Registered on 14th March for service • Week 12 341 (Average – 68 visits per day) • Week 13 423 (Average – 85 visits per day)
Purchasing Card • Sparksnow accepted all Credit Cards, including Purchasing Cards. • Within the last quarter, we installed Adflex, an internet based software application that enables secure full purchase card processing with the minimum of fuss. Our Purchasing Card acceptance is now at Level 3 (this gives line item details) • Purchasing Cards were presented to us as a means of payment on 5 occasions in the quarter January – March 2011 by TCD shoppers only. No other institute has offered Purchasing Cards as a means of payment in this period. • We will work with any Instituteto help implement Purchasing Cards to Level 3.
Complaints • Sparks operate a quality management system (QMS), accredited to ISO9001:2008 Standards. As part of our QMS, we record all customer, product and service complaints received • In total 3 complaints were received from customers of the participating Institutes this quarter. • 2 of these complaints were product complaints. On each occasion, the faulty products were replaced. Credits notes were not issued. • 1 complaint related to a late delivery. (This order was cancelled on the day the goods arrived here.) • In total 3 were Credit Notes Issued (out of 290 invoices) • Of the 3 credit notes issued, only 1 related to our product specification or service.
Activities – last quarter • Distribution of branded mini catalogue • 36 pages of core products, all ex stock • Approx 450 dispatched to date • Mini trade show display in TCD IMM at St James Hosp – 7th March 2011 • Mini trade show display in TCD – 3rd Feb 2011 • Face lift of Sparks Lab Store • 3rd Level Portal now live • Easier to use & log in • Promotion of Super Saver products • Top Line Filter Tips & Microcentrifuge Tubes • Glove Plus Lite Nitrile Gloves • RBI containers
