  3. What is a Virtual Campus? • A virtual Campus is an integral and dynamic system • With a coherent pedagogical model • Based on the metaphor of a VC as a representation of Real Campus

What is a Virtual Campus? • How people (usually adults) learn • The different mechanisms needed to support people while they're studying: technological and pedagogical • The roles, responsibilities and processesthat support the delivery of any educational program • The needs and requirements of learnersstudying at a distance system

  5. Questions ¿How to do it? ¿What issues should be considered in order to implement a virtual teaching environment?

  7. Leadership It is imposible to carry out an implementation of a project of a Virtual Campus without a strong and well acknwoledged leadership

  9. Planning • Formulating a plan • Involving people to ensure commitment • Building the basic structure • Team building • Plan for the short and long term • Supporting policies • Monitoring the policies • Plan for the future

Information and analysis • Collecting for a purpose • Identify the impact of, and need for, various types of information. • Establish standardised procedures for collecting, storing and accessing information • Identify the information that's required and how to access and analyse it. • Communicate with each other and with key stakeholders.. • Document all examples of improvements to your service, procedures or relationships • Use the information you collect to • Regularly evaluate and review the sorts of information you collect;.

People • Develop a Human Resource Plan • Identify the skills, abilities and knowledge required • Pinpoint areas where people need training • Ensure that everyone is clear about roles and responsibilities • Identify goals, plans and ambitions • Ensure that people have the opportunity to multi-skill • Seek structured feedback from managers and peers • Create a culture where people recognise and celebrate • Set up formal and informal communication networks • Monitor and evaluate the program's overall progress. • Organise regular team planning and review days • Work with others to create an environment that is enjoyable,

Organisation • Client centred training • As a team consider who has a stake or interest in the success of the virtual campus • As a team identify the major local, state, national and international factors and events that could impact on your plans. How could they enhance - and hinder - your service • Develop appropriate performance agreements • Design and implement an effective communications strategy • Ensure a common understanding of, and commitment to, quality and continuous improvement. • Quality is at the heart of the virtual campus
