2. Appearance ＊ White coat with black fur around their eyes,on their ears, muzzle, legs and shoulders ＊A large adult panda can weigh about 100-150 kg, Male pandas are 10% larger and 20% heavier than female ones.

3. Food ＊ Leaves, stems, and shoots of various bamboo species. ＊About 1% of their diet is made up of other plants and meat.

4. Habitat ＊In the mountainous areas of southwest China

5. Life Cycle ＊A newborn panda cub weighs only 90-130 g, the size of a stick of butter. ＊Fully weaned at 8 to 9 months. ＊Leave their mothers usually at about 18 months. ＊A panda's average life span in the wild is 14-20 years.

6. Threats ＊Habitat destruction continues to pose a threat to the many pandas living outside these areas ＊Unintentionally injured or killed in traps set for other animals by the hunters
