Long term effectiveness of the Project will depend on • Partner organisations and regions • Other regions Plans for further development • Move from exchange of information and best practice to implementation • Broaden EROCIPS network
EROCIPS II: Objectives • Strengthen prevention, response & mitigation capacity against oil, HNS and inert pollution • Create a sustainable network of experts on oil spill & HNS response of the AA, supported by information & data exchange & management tools • Incorporation of EROCIPS outputs into strategic response plans to strengthen existing response • Improve the level of awareness & training of potential responders & the degree of stakeholder involvement • Encourage cross boarder collaboration between neighbouring countries facilitating joint cross boarder training & exercises • Improve mitigation capacity by assessing current claims & compensation mechanisms as well as ecological damage assessment systems & procedures
