Mini-Projects . For your mini-projects you have to form groups of up to 6 students in each group. Then you have to choose a science fiction technology. Then you will do some research about this technology and prepare a presentation.

Mini-Projects • For your mini-projects you have to form groups of up to 6 students in each group. • Then you have to choose a science fiction technology. • Then you will do some research about this technology and prepare a presentation. • In the last week you will have to present your findings to the class (10-12 min presentation + 5 min Q&A). • You will have to write a report (8 pages including max 2 pages figures) as well (deadline: 29 November 2011).
Mini-Projects In the following there are guidelines some questions you should answer in your presentation: • How realistic is this technology? • Do you think it will be possible to build this kind of technology some day? • Do you think this will be a very useful technology? • What will this technology mainly be used for, e.g. will it be part of our daily life or will it be just used by a small group of people? • Where are the problems and challenges when trying to build this technology, why isn't it built already? • Give examples of this kind of technology from science fiction movies, tv series and novels. • Compare the use of this technology in different movies and scifi stories.
