CHRIST REVEALED . Christ Glorified. I. JOHN’S INTRODUCTION . II. JOHN’S LOCATION . Geographically .
E N D
Geographically (Rev 1:9) I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
B. Spiritually (Rev 1:10) I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
Historically • (These are 7 literal and historical churches of Asia Minor (Turkey) in 95 AD when the book was written.) • Inspirational • (These churches represent the 7 characteristics of churches of today and the 7 strategies that Satan use to attack the church) • Doctrinally (Prophetical) • (These churches represent the 7 periods of Church history from the book of Acts to the Rapture of the Church)
HIS VOICE (Rev 1:12) AND I TURNED TO SEE THE VOICE THAT SPAKE WITH ME. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
(Joh1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (Joh 1:14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us… (Gen 3:8) And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
(Rev 1:12-13) And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I SAW SEVEN GOLDEN CANDLESTICKS; AND IN THE MIDST OF THE SEVEN CANDLESTICKS ONE LIKE UNTO THE SON OF MAN, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
(Rev 1:20) The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
(Mat 28:18-20) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
(Mat 18:15-20) Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
(Rev 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
COMPARING SCRIPTURE WITH SCRIPTURE (Joh 8:12) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (Joh 1:9) That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
COMPARING SCRIPTURE WITH SCRIPTURE (Joh 9:5) As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. (Mal 4:1-2) For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings…
COMPARING SCRIPTURE WITH SCRIPTURE (Mat 5:14) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. (Php 2:15) That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; (2Co 4:6-7) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

COMPARING SCRIPTURE WITH SCRIPTURE (Psa 19:1-5) The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a TABERNACLE for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
COMPARING SCRIPTURE WITH SCRIPTURE (Rev 21:1-3) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
(Rev 1:12-13) And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; and in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the son of man,CLOTHED WITH A GARMENT DOWN TO THE FOOT, AND GIRT ABOUT THE PAPS WITH A GOLDEN GIRDLE.
COMPARING SCRIPTURE WITH SCRIPTURE (Heb 4:14) Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. (Heb 7:25) Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
1. HIS HEAD AND HAIRS (Rev 1:14) HIS HEAD AND HIS HAIRS WERE WHITE LIKE WOOL, AS WHITE AS SNOW; and His eyes were as a flame of fire;
Wool is representative of his age (the ancient one) • Snow is representative of his righteousness (Pro 16:31) The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
2. HIS EYES (Rev 1:14) His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and HIS EYES WERE AS A FLAME OF FIRE;
(Psa 32:8) I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
3. HIS FEET (Rev 1:15) AND HIS FEET LIKE UNTO FINE BRASS, AS IF THEY BURNED IN A FURNACE; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
(Gen 3:15) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Zec 14:4) And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
(Rev 14:19-20) And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. (Rev 19:15) And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
(Isa 63:1-6) Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.
4. HIS VOICE (Rev 1:15) And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; AND HIS VOICE AS THE SOUND OF MANY WATERS.
5. HIS HAND (Rev 1:16) AND HE HAD IN HIS RIGHT HAND SEVEN STARS: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
6. HIS MOUTH (Rev 1:16) And he had in his right hand seven stars: and OUT OF HIS MOUTH WENT A SHARP TWOEDGED SWORD: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
7. HIS Countenance (Rev 1:16) And he had in his right hand seven stars: and Out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and HIS COUNTENANCE WAS AS THE SUN SHINETH IN HIS STRENGTH.
(Rev 1:19) Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
