  5. UTA Environmental Improvement Projects UTA Energy Conservation Project Decrease electrical usage by: Installing improved lighting systems; Goal: 5% reduction along the North-South TRAX Park N’ Ride lots. 2) Install digital energy monitors in its buildings to define our usage.

  6. UTA Environmental Improvement Projects Decrease Electrical Usage – Improved Lighting System Previously: TRAX Park N’ Ride Stations used 135 watt incandescent lamps. Currently: Changed to a 23 watt fluorescent lamps. Results: At 11 TRAX stations 60 incandescent lamps were exchanged with 48 fluorescent lamps. Total reduction: (135 w)(660) – (23 w)(528) = 76,956 watts
