Can a person receiving Social Security Disability Benefits, who wants to work, continue to receive their benefits? ABSOLUTELY! ABSOLUTELY NOT! IT DEPENDS…
I like your optimism This is true for the most part. However, individuals who receive either SSI or SSDI benefits should DEFINITELY consult with a certified benefits planner to learn more about Social Security Work Incentives.
You curious cat you! You just wanted to see what I had under my hat! This answer is definitely NOT correct. Social Security has implemented many new and improved Work Incentives to assist beneficiaries in the return to work in the last decade.
Great Job! You Got It! There are Work Incentives designed to assist both SSI and SSDI beneficiaries in maintaining some, if not all of their benefits when returning to work. Individuals who receive either SSI or SSDI benefits should DEFINITELY consult with a certified benefits planner such as a Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) to learn more about Work Incentives that can assist them in the return to work. To find a CWIC in your state, click here to visit Social Security’s Work Site.
