Faculty of Economics – Key Facts • Established in 1946 • Number of students: • undergraduates: 8,728 (full time, part time) • postgraduates: 1,100 (full time, part time, executive) • Staff: academic – 159, admin & support – 92 • On October 11, 2006 EFMD awarded FELU the global EQUIS quality accreditation status • Member of EFMD, AACSB, CEEMAN, EDAMBA, NIBES, TEDQUAL

  3. Accreditation Goals • To maintain EQUIS (European Quality Development) • To get AACSB (Association of Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business) till 2009/10

Mission and Vision • MISSION • As the leading national and regional institution, the Faculty of Economics is developing experts in business and economics, a high-quality discipline-based and practice-oriented research program, and the effective transfer of knowledge to business practice. Our primary focus is the European Union and emerging markets. • VISION • The Faculty of Economics strives to enter the coming decade as the most prominent school in Central and South-East Europe with a significant international recognition based on quality education programs and international accreditation, recognizable research achievements, consulting activities, along with satisfied students, employers and employees.
