A Part of Tech College Greenland Mining English Pre-qualification for Common Core • Target group: • Unskilled adult Greenlanders who want to work in the mining industry • “PKU” courses arranged by the Ministry of & Mineral Resources • 3 modules in 6 weeks • International work ambitions • Opportunity for Greenlanders to work abroad • Executed by Language Center Greenland • Visitation by: • G.S.M.P. • Language Center Greenland • Local employment offices

A Part of Tech College Greenland Common Core for New Miners • First courses held in 2008 • 10 weeks to complete • Participants are offered a driver´s license • Basic knowledge in drilling and blasting • Modules e.g.: Safety Training Surface & Underground Mining Survey Basic Blasting Assistance Geology Arctic First Aid
