Brief History of Apple Inc. • Founders are Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak created Apple Computer on April 1st, 1976 • For more than two decades, Apple computer was predominately a manufacturer of personal computers but it faced rocky sales during the 1990’s • With the introduction of the successful iPod music player in 2001, Apple established itself as a leader in the consumer electronics industry, dropping "Computer" from its name Patricia Smith Section 06
