Life of Christina Rossetti • She was an English poet during the Romantic era. • Poet and painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti was her brother. • She was sickly as a child, therefore educated privately. • She was engaged to an artist, but they broke it off due to religious differences. • She preferred solitary pursuits, and rejected her brother’s socialite lifestyle that most poets and artists joined in during their time.
