Reformation Continues Warm Up: Misa Pro Defunctis Objective: Reformations evolution toward religious and political changes Standard: 10:1-2 Homework: Reading 61-66 WB 21-24 Honors/ Extra Credit: A) Cornell Notes Film Luther, B) Read any chapter from the Christian Bible taking notes and commenting how some of the figures during the reformation may have interpreted passages differently. Catholics Reform • Society of Jesus or Jesuits- Academics of Theocracy • Jesuits built Missions and schools to teach scripture • Ursuliness- Order of Nuns founded to help poor • Council of Trent- • -biblical interpretation was final • - faith and good works = salvation • Indulgences were valid as an expression of faith
