CS2013 and China Computing Federation • CS2013 coordinating with CCF on CS curriculum • Conference calls with members of CCF curriculum taskforce • CCF taskforce has provided feedback on CS2013 draft • ACM/IEEE-CS CS2013 will incorporate feedback and acknowledge CCF taskforce members • ACM/IEEE-CS/CCF Computer Science Curricula for China • After release of ACM/IEEE-CS CS2013, CCF taskforce will create a localized version for China • Will include more prescriptive guidelines for local needs • Thanks to • Michael Wrinn for initiating coordination • Zheng Qin for serving as CCF taskforce liaison • CCF taskforce members for their involvement

Some background PRC enrollments: • ~1000 universities offering CS & Tech major • new undergraduate students entering • Computer Science: 100K • CS-related: 160K • MS/PhD total enrollment: 100K • vocational (2-year) total enrollment: 640K • ~1M students currently enrolled, which is about half the anticipated demand: China 5-year plan: 6M new jobs this area 2016-2020
