The Role of Clubhouse Mentors Clubhouse Mentors vary in age, background, interests and skills, but share a passion for youth • Work with Members and Mentors on a specific project • Contribute to Clubhouse to College/Career (C2C) • Recruit other Mentors • Offer workshops • Create new project ideas • Work on their own projects
What Makes This Approach Work? • Everyone teaches everyone. Everyone learns from everyone • Learning can generate pride, laughter, or frustration-- or all three • Learning is non-hierarchical; youth take charge of their own learning • The Clubhouse creates a safe space for experimentation
