Functional requirements Content: • capacity to support varied, interactive content • accessible uploading arrangements Coordination: • management of students and tutors • reporting arrangements Communications: • conferencing tool (a-synchronous) • email • supplementary functions: synchronous tool, personal web space etc
Operational Useability: • user interface • navigation • speed Reliability: • consistent performance Support arrangements: • for tutors and students using the system • for staff creating and running programmes
Some key considerations The content / learning materials are key, but their effectiveness depends on: • the communication tools available • the useability and reliability of the system • the support in place for the system
