This increased contribution in participant rent every month from each of our 3,848 families will allow us to keep all current families housed, rather than cutting as many as 500 families from the program. • Rent increases could range from $25 to $250. • The average increase may be about $55. • The average rent burden may be 32% of gross income. • We hope that all of you will recognize the importance of entering the rent reform partnership with us, knowing that your contribution of an increase in rent is vital to the preservation of a healthy level of housing assistance for all participating families.
