ESB Networks Market Release Meeting of the IGG, 1st October 2009
ESB Networks Market Release : Timelines – Future Release As discussed at the last IGG, we received comments that Suppliers were looking to have the Schema release scheduled three months in advance of IPT testing instead of go-live. Because of this and in light of the work that needs to be carried out for the technical upgrade of the market hub and MPCC, we need some time to reassessed the timelines that were previously proposed for the May 2010 release We will give an update to Market Participants on this item at the conference call on the 22nd October
ESB Networks Market Release : November 2009 Release - Update • The November 2009 Market Release is planned for the weekend of Friday 27th to • Sunday 29th November 2009. • Market Participants will be asked not to send in any Market Messages from 8pm on • Saturday 28th November 2009 • Market Message Reconciliation and Cutover is planned to begin on Sunday morning • Connectivity testing is planned from Sunday afternoon • A detailed hour by hour plan of the tasks over the cutover phase is being documented by • RMDS, and is planned to issue before the next Conference Call of 22ndOctober • All market messages that issue following the schema changes will have the ver 7.0 • formats • Market Participants are asked to clear , by Friday 20th November 2009 ,any backlog of requests for resends of messages under the current schema ver 6.1 • And from then on to reconcile messages on a daily basis until the cutover
ESB Networks Market Release : November 2009 Release – 341/342 Cutover When replacement QH data is sent after the November schema release, it will contain a version number that is incremented by 1 from the previous version, regardless of whether or not the previous QH data carried a version number. For example [Import/Export site] if QH data is first sent on 26.11.2009 for MPRN 1234 and read date 25.11.2009, the message containing this data will not contain a Version Number field as this field only becomes active after the schema v7.0 release on 29.11.2009. If replacement QH data is later sent after the schema changes, and for the same MPRN and same read date, this will show a value in the Version number field of '02‘.
ESB Networks Market Release : Next Steps • RMDS will issue a detailed hour by hour plan of the tasks over the cutover phase before • the next Conference Call of 22ndOctober • Market Participants are asked to clear, by Friday 20th November 2009, any backlog of • requests for resends of messages under the current schema ver 6.1, and from then on to reconcile messages on a daily basis until the cutover. • We will give an update to Market Participants on timelines for the next release at the • conference call on the 22nd October.
ESB Networks Market Release : November 2009 Release – TAG Update • TAG Update… • MPCC Release 15.0 • Release 15.0 of the MPCC and Webforms is planned to be issued to all • Market Participants from Friday 16th Oct thru Friday 23rd October, by CD. • This will contain Version 7.0 of the XML schema. • MPs should only install Release 15.0 on their Test MPCCs to ensure proper installation • and rollback procedures are working. • This release will be used for IPT testing during October-November • Installation of CD and Connectivity testing (999 message) between MPCC • and IPT Hub is planned to take place between Friday 16th and Friday 23rd October 2009 • And of course the upgrade should not be carried out on your Live MPCC until you are • advised to do so during the cutover weekend.
