  2. Process Last Minute Voters (p. 25 ) • Anyone who is on the premises of the polling place by 8:00 PM must be allowed to vote. If they are in line outside, the PEOs should instruct the voters to move inside the building, and shut, but not lock, the doors. • Inform voters who arrive after 8:00 PM that they are too late to vote.

  4. Publicly Announce Results and Close the AutoMARK

  5. Secure Media: M100 • STEP 1: Check M100 Seals/ Remove PCMCIA Card • Verify the numbers on the two green seals that were removed, and initial the Precinct Record of Ballotsif correct. • remove M100 PCMCIA Card.

  6. Secure Media: AutoMARK • STEP 2: Check AutomarkSeals/Remove AutomarkFlashcard • Verify the AutoMARK seal numbers and initial the Lime Green Form if correct. • Now break seal, unlock, and remove AutoMARKFlashcard.

  7. Secure Media: AutoMARK STEP 3: Reseal the AutoMARK flashcard door and record the new seal number on the Precinct Record of Ballots. NOTE: Do NOT reseal the AutoMARK printer! There is not a line for recording a new AutoMark Printer Seal.

  8. Secure Media STEP 4: Reseal the M100 PCMCIA Card and Phone Jack Ports and record the seal numbers on the Precinct Record of Ballots

  12. Secure Media STEP 7: Seal the Red Media Transfer Case and return to the Blue Supply Bag. Be sure the insert card is enclosed first

  13. Fill Out the Paper Ballot Receipt Record (p. 27) • You were supposed to receive 940 regular ballots, but one of the packages of 50 contained 51 ballots. All other packets were the correct number or you did not need to open them. • You had 850 regular ballot voters. • You had 6 provisional ballot voters. • You had 2 spoiled ballots. 941 951 850 6 856 2 858 93 951

  16. Secure Paper Ballots(p. 29) STEP 3: Place the Spoiled Ballots in the Green Ballot Transfer Case. SPOILED STEP 4: Also place any Unused Ballots in the Green Transfer Case.

  19. Location of Supplies When Returned • BLUE SUPPLY TRANSFER CASE: • File Box containing regular voters’ numerically filed completed eligibility slips. (some precincts will have more completed eligibility slips that will fit in the File Box. Return the excess in the Blue Supply Transfer Case or clear plastic box slips were received in. • “Instructions and Checklists” hanging file folder: Ziploc bag containing keys for M100, AutoMARK and any extra unused seals. • Legal-Size file folder in front of the black mesh basket: signs/ sample ballots • Yellow and Purple Election Registers • Black mesh basket inside Legal-sized Envelope: Surrendered absentee ballots • Small blue supply bag: Return same supplies as received in bag. • GREEN BALLOT TRANSFER CASE: • Voted ballot bag(s) • Yellow Provisional Ballots and Completed Registration Forms Bag containing: • Voted provisional ballots • Completed Voter Registration forms • Completed Voter Requesting Assistance forms (salmon) • Completed Election Day Registration forms (yellow) • Eligibility Slips for Voters in Wrong Precinct • Large spoiled ballot envelope containing small white spoiled ballot envelopes • Unused ballots • Unused provisional ballots • Clipboard • Red Media Transfer Case • Tally List Book • Claim Forms • Lime Green Form
